Service of the vacuum brake booster requires removing the stop lamp switch first before removing the brake pedal together with bracket and brake booster and its mounting fasteners. The service starts with disconnecting the brake booster check valve from the brake booster which prevents the master cylinder seal from entering the booster before removing the master cylinder itself.
