How to service and repair the alternator on 2007 Lincoln Navigator?

Disconnect battery. Navigator: unscrew retainers on the engines; pull off the engine cover and air cleaner inlet tube. Turn tensioner anti clockwise, put belt aside. Install 10 Nm/89 lb-in. Remove harness locator and generator bracket (4 bolts; reinstall 10 Nm/89 lb-in). Unbolt generators (25 Nm/18 lb-ft). Disconnect connector, nut (8 Nm/71 lb-in) B +. Take off generator; install upside down.
