2007 Lincoln Town Car Fan Motor Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service the radiator cooling fan motor and shroud on 2007 Lincoln Town Car?
A: The radiator cooling fan motor and shroud servicing process starts with disconnecting the battery ground cable. Next, drain the cooling system. Protecting the power steering reservoir bolt requires removal while storing it aside. Installation will require bolt tightening to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.). The degas bottle sealing process requires removal of supply and overflow hoses before extracting the bolt and bottle unit which needs to be tightened to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.) upon reinstallation. Disconnect the upper radiator hose while also detaching transmission cooler tubes installed on the cooling fan motor and shroud. Locate the electrical plug of the cooling fan motor and shroud and disconnect it while maintaining proper distance between the assembly and lower radiator hose. Follow these steps to uninstall the cooling fan motor and shroud assembly by removing the two bolts with a tightness of 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.) then striking them at 10 Nm during reinstallation. Complete the removal by filling the cooling system and conducting bleeding procedures.
