2007 Lincoln Town Car Turn Signal Switch Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service and repair the turn signal switch on 2007 Lincoln Town Car?
A: One must begin turn signal switch repair work by disconnecting the battery ground cable. The first step in servicing the turn signal switch requires removal of the tilt release handle. Using a fingernail to press down on the sides of the upper steering column shroud opens it for access to remove three screws securing the upper and lower steering column shrouds. Reinstall these screws to 2 Nm (18 inch lbs). Disconnect the multicomponent switch electrical wiring harness before unscrewing the two fasteners which need to be tightened to 3 Nm (27 inch lbs) force upon completion. To finish the installation you must perform the reversal of all previous removal steps.
