How to service the radiator for the 2.3L engine on 2007 Mercury Mariner?

The first step to service the 2.3L engine radiator requires hoisting the vehicle in neutral position. Drain the cooling system thoroughly. Take out both the cooling fan motor and shroud from the vehicle. Service the radiator by disconnecting first the upper radiator-to-degas bottle hose then moving to the upper radiator hose before disconnecting the lower degas bottle-to-radiator hose and finally the lower radiator hose. It is necessary to unplug the two transaxle cooling hoses from the radiator before taking out the radiator component. The procedure to install the new radiator requires repeating the removal steps while performing correct procedures to fill and bleed the cooling system.
