How to service the 2.3L radiator on Mercury Mariner?

Begin radiator 2.3L servicing procedure by hoisting the vehicle with neutral transmission and then draining its cooling system. Proceed with cooling system drainage before removing the cooling fan motor with shroud attached. Start by uncoupling the upper radiator-to-degas bottle hose and the upper radiator hose from the radiator before proceeding to disconnect the lower degas bottle-to-radiator hose and the lower radiator hose. The service of the 2.3L radiator starts with removing the radiator and disconnecting the transaxle cooling hoses from the radiator. Installation of the new radiator involves following the opposite order of uninstallation while performing proper cooling system filling and bleeding procedures.
