How to service the left-hand exhaust manifold on 2007 Mercury Montego?

In order to service the exhaust manifold on the left hand, disconnect the cooling fans and HO2S connector. Disconnect the manifold to the catalytic converter and disregard the nuts and gasket. Install new studs, tighten them to 12 Nm and re-install new nuts and gasket, following the same procedure in reverse.
