How to remove and replace the front bumper cover on 2008 Ford Crown Victoria?

Secure safety steps must come first before removing or replacing the front bumper cover because you need to depower the fire suppression system and cut power to the air suspension system. This keeps the air springs from changing pressure during your work. Setting the vehicle to NEUTRAL position allows hoisting for successful placement. The first task requires removing four lower radiator air deflector bolts alongside two radiator vertical deflector bolts while tightening them to 7 Nm (62 lb-in) before reinstalling both. You must first detach the pin-type retainers which are present on both sides before removing the three-pin-type retainers found on each front bumper side cover. You must first remove the side turn signal lamp assemblies then take out the two front bumper cover screws (one per side) before tighting them to 7 Nm (62 lb-in) during the installation process. The front bumper cover-to-fender screws need removal one by one from each side. Keep these screws at 2 Nm (18 lb-in) during reinstallation. Before removing the front bumper cover the electrical connectors must be disconnected from vehicles that have fog lamps. The removal process should be reversed to install the components.
