The service process for auxiliary evaporator core starts with performing vacuum leak tests if leakage is suspected before component removal. The service starts by removing the A/C and heater assembly before disconnecting and throwing away the evaporator core spring lock couplings along with their O-ring seals. The evaporator case cover can be removed after heater hoses are positioned aside and all four screws are taken out. The service of the auxiliary evaporator core starts by separating the core from its seal followed by core extraction. Finish by removing the evaporator core seal then take away the thermostatic expansion valve (TXV). Follow an opposite procedure from removal to install the components.
