Begin the procedure of left-hand parking brake cable replacement by releasing tension on the rear parking brake. Begin the replacement by detaching the right-hand parking brake cable from the equalizer and then proceed to remove the left-hand parking brake cable from the intermediate parking brake cable located at the cable union. The parking brake cable conduit must be disconnected from the left-hand bracket assembly by compressing the tabs. The rear parking brake cable should be detached from the parking brake actuating lever before removing the cable. The installation process should follow the reverse steps of dismantling.
