How to remove and replace the right-hand (RH) parking brake cable on 2008 Ford E-250?

Retaining good traction on the brakes requires releasing the tension of the braking system before the RH parking brake cable replacement begins. Unplug the RH parking brake cable from both the equalizer and the support spring. Clear the way by pushing the tabs toward each other to disconnect the RH parking brake cable tubing from its frame bracket. Separate the brake tube bracket by removing its bolt from the differential then install it again at 18 Nm (13 lb-ft) torque. Detach the parking brake cable wire from its bracket bolt at the lower shock mount then secure it with a torque of 15 Nm (11 lb-ft). Pinch the tabs to take the parking brake cable conduit away from right side connectors. Take out the rear parking brake cable from its connection to the parking brake actuating lever. Reassemble the parts following their uninstallation steps.
