To install a new parking brake cable (right-hand) release the tension, unhook the cable to the equalizer and support spring and dismount the conduit to the frame. Take out the bracket bolt of the differential and lower shock mount and fit tightening according to the required specified torque. Lastly, undo the steps of removal of the new cable.

How to remove and replace the left-hand parking brake cable on Ford E-250?

In order to change left-hand parking brake cable, one must loosen the tension of rear parking brake. Unplug the right-hand cable and the left hand cable at the cable union. Take the conduit out of the bracket, then the rear cable off of the actuating lever. Installation is in reverse.
