    A: The front lower control arm service requires starting with wheel and tire removal. Start by throwing out the stabilizer bar link lower nut before removing the lower ball joint nut together with its bolt. The first step involves removing the frame-to-arm forward bolt and spacer component before removing both frame-to-arm rearward bolts to discard these pieces with the lower arm. Start the installation by positioning the lower arm before placing the two rearward bolts but do not tighten them. When installing the lower arm-to-frame forward bolt and spacer do not engage it with full force at this time. Begin installation of the lower arm ball joint bolt together with the nut then apply 55 Nm (41 lb-ft) torque while the stabilizer bar link lower nut requires 90 Nm (66 lb-ft) torque. Position the wheel and tire back onto the vehicle and apply vehicle weight to the wheels when tightening the lower arm-to-frame forward bolts to 150 Nm (111 lb-ft) as well as the two rearward bolts to 80 Nm (59 lb-ft). Complete the inspection by checking and aligning the front end if required.
