How to service and repair the steering wheel on 2008 Ford Edge?

In order to service the steering wheel, place it in a straight position, switch off the ignition, and take out the airbag module. Label the wheel and column so that they can be referred to, then loosen the nut (tighten to 35 Nm when replacing). Removal should be done with a puller and the process should be reversed back to position with the marks.
