How to Service and Repair the Throttle Cable on 2008 Ford Escape?

When servicing the accelerator cable, make sure that it does not touch the other parts of the components, which might hamper movement and cause harm. Disconnect the cable on the throttle body and the pedal and then tighten the cover shield to 4 Nm and the bracket nut to 5 Nm on re-connection. Installation is the reverse of the process of removal.
