    A: Service of the thermostat and thermostat housing begins after the vehicle reaches NEUTRAL position on a hoist. Begin with draining all cooling system fluid. The following step entails belt removal from the accessory drive. After removing the 2 nuts from the power steering tube safely set it aside while tightening all connections to 10 Nm (89 lb-in). First remove the cooling fan motor along with its shroud before taking off 2 bolts and a stud bolt to set aside the A/C compressor so it can be tightened to 25 Nm torque (18 lb-ft) when reinstalling. Disconnect the radiation and heater hoses from the thermostat housing before removing its 3 bolts alongside the assembly of thermostat which requires a 10 Nm (89 lb-in) torque upon installation. Clean engine coolant should be used to lubricate the O-ring of the thermostat housing before returning to the reversal steps of the removal process. Complete the cooling system filling process by bleeding it out.
