How to Service and Repair Automatic Transmission Shift Levers on 2008 Ford Fusion?

In order to service automatic transmission shift levers, take out the center console and unscrew the shift lever cable and electrical connector. Take out shift lever with four nuts, and then insert the new lever, reconnect the cable and make sure to lock it in place. Install the center console again, and reposition the cable.
