How to remove and replace the Engine Control Module (ECM) on 2008 Ford Fusion?

In order to change the powertrain control module (PCM), one may have to retrieve it, obtain the module configuration, remove the battery tray, and remove PCM connectors. Unscrew the four bolts, strip the PCM out and replace it with the new PCM. Reconnect connectors, fit battery tray, and re-set up module configuration and PATS.
