How to remove and replace the Engine Control Module (ECM) on 2009 Ford Fusion?

To remove the Powertrain Control Module (PCM): the PMI procedure is used to retrieve the module configuration. Disassemble the PCM by removing the battery tray, unconnection of PCM connectors and unbolt PCM. Install the new module, secure it, reconnect the connectors and reset the configuration and reprogrammed Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS).
