2008 Ford Fusion Turn Signal Switch Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service and repair the turn signal switch on 2008 Ford Fusion?
A: Service or repair of the turn signal switch starts with removing the steering column opening cover through its panel attachments using a pulling motion. Press both sides of the steering column shroud to unlock it from its position while simultaneously lifting it upward until removal becomes possible. The first step is to let go of the tilt lever then undo the three screws fastening the lower steering column shroud before removing the shroud. The electrical connector from the multi-function switch needs disconnection while you remove the screws retaining this switch until you can remove the switch unit. The finishing installation steps should follow the initial uninstallation procedures.
