How to service the front Wheelhouse liner on 2008 Ford Ranger?

The procedure to service front fender liners begins with removing electrical connector locators from RH front fender splash shields and vacuum lines from LH front fender splash shields that attach to the vacuum storage reservoir. Start by removing the 3 scrivets which are hidden by the front fender splash shield and then detach the 2 bolts at its lower front edge. The LH front fender splash shield requires removal of a fastener consisting of a bolt and nut but the RH front fender splash shield demands removing 2 fasteners in the form of bolts from the installation. The necessary step is to remove the 5 pushpins securing the splash shield front fender to its inner counterpart before you can remove the inner splash shield. The scrivet from the lower rear splash shield must be removed followed by the front fender splash shield. The installation process for new or repaired components can be performed by following reverse order to the removal sequence.
