One must start repairs on the headlamp dimmer switch by taking out the steering column tilt release lever/handle. The upper steering column shroud requires opening using sides pressure before removing the three screws which secure both the upper and lower shrouds. Reinstall these screws to 2 Nm (18 lb-in). The multi-function switch requires removing its two screws prior to disconnection of its three electrical connectors and subsequent reinstallation should tighten these screws to 3 Nm (27 lb-in). The installation process ends with performing the opposite actions of removal steps.
