How to service the instrument panel dimmer switch on Lincoln Town Car?

In order to replace the instrument panel dimmer switch, unscrew the battery ground cable and put on the parking brake. When the screws in the instrument cluster finish panel have been removed, connect the electrical connectors by setting the transmission selection to 1.To remove the dimmer switch unscrew the 3 tabs. To install it, reverse the process.
