How to service and repair the A/C Hose for the evaporator outlet on 2008 Mercury Mariner?

Start the procedure to fix the evaporator outlet line by hoisting the vehicle in NEUTRAL gear position. The first step is to recover the refrigerant followed by engine splash shield removal from the RH side. The procedure for compressor suction fitting disconnection requires removal of the nut which enables fitting separation while you discard both O-ring and gasket seals. Reinstall the fitting following a torque setting of 15 Nm (11 lb-ft). Cut off the wire harness clip from the evaporator outlet line before removing the thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) fitting nut and detaching the fitting and discarding the gasket seals while tightening it to 15 Nm (11 lb-ft) at installation. You must disconnect both the evaporator outlet line from the receiver/drier bracket and detach it from the low-charge protection switch electrical connector before removing the line from the bracket. The installation of the new evaporator outlet line requires following the removal steps in reverse order while adding new gasket seals along with a new O-ring seal and performing correct PAG oil lubrication of the refrigerant system. As the final step discharge the refrigerant system and perform leak testing functions followed by filling it with refrigerant.
