How to service the auxiliary temperature blend door actuator on 2008 Mercury Mountaineer?

The first procedure for auxiliary temperature blend door actuator service requires installing the vehicle on a hoist before shifting it into NEUTRAL position. The service starts by taking out the LH quarter trim panel then moving to the two auxiliary line floorpan bracket nuts that need 8 Nm (71 lb-in) torque setting when reinstalling. The two bolts securing the auxiliary heater core and evaporator core housing need to be removed before installation where they must be torqued to 6 Nm (53 lb-in). Tighten the nut for both the auxiliary heater core as well as the evaporator core housing to 6 Nm (53 lb-in) as part of component reinstallation. Unplug both the auxiliary harness electrical connector along with the electrical connector for the auxiliary temperature blend door actuator. First disconnect the three screws which support the auxiliary temperature blend door actuator before removing the actuator unit itself. The process ends by performing the reverse actions of removal.
