The installation should include removing and trashing the Teflon® seal then applying 73 Nm (54 lb-ft) tightening force to the new fitting. During reinstallation use 30 Nm (22 lb-ft) torque to fasten the three power steering pump securing bolts. The process of connecting a Teflon® sealed fitting requires new seals to be installed through the Teflon® Seal Installer Set.
