Service along with repair operations of the power steering pump start by removing the drive belt followed by vehicle elevation. Uninstall the routing bracket as the next step. Disconnection of the power steering auxiliary actuator electrical connector becomes necessary when servicing vehicles that utilize the EVO steering system. Remove the pulley followed by hose disconnection. A power steering pump needs to be disassembled through removal of its four securing bolts. Replacements of power steering pumps in EVO steering system vehicles must include the additional removal of the power steering auxiliary actuator. The installation requires the opposite order of removal alongside fresh seal ring installation when needed. Complete system filling procedures and conduct a leak check.
