    A: Every repair or servicing operation for the turn signal switch on the steering column multifunction switch begins with removing the steering column tilt release lever/handle. Press inward on both sides of the upper steering column shroud to release it before removing its securing screws along with those of the lower shroud at 2 Nm torque after installation. Disconnect the three electrical connectors from the multifunction switch before removing its two mounting screws by tightening them to 3 Nm (27 lb-in) when reinstalling. Completion of the installation requires performing the opposite steps of removal.
