How to service and repair the vacuum brake booster on 2009 Ford Edge?

In order to service the vacuum brake booster, loosen the stoplamp switch with the brake pedal in the rest position, and make sure that the plunger is pushed. Turn off the check valve, take off the master cylinder and have the vacuum hose properly laid. Lastly, disconnect the brake booster and have the stoplamp switch properly put back.
