In gasoline engines, one has to place the vehicle in neutral on a hoist in order to service the cooling fan shroud. Take out the cooling system drain and air cleaner outlet pipe and break out hoses. Uninstall retainer, bolts, rearrange parts and reassemble by reversing the process, with the correct torque requirements.
