The procedure of servicing and repairing the AM/FM antenna cable should start with the removal of the Audio Control Module (ACM). The C-pillar trim panels of coupe models need removal before working on the rear cable. The repair of the antenna cable begins with the removal of quarter trim panels on the right-hand side and scuff plate trim panels on all doors for all vehicles. The removal process for the garment hanger retainer requires a 3/16-inch flat-blade screwdriver to operate the two hangers by opening the access cover for insertion of the screwdriver into the slot and subsequent 90-degree rotation to separate the metal retainer clip before taking out the plastic hanger. Lower the rear of the headliner to access the antenna cable bolt and disconnect the antenna cable from the antenna after unbolted which should maintain a torque of 8 Nm (71 lb-in) for the reinstallation. The right-hand A-pillar lower trim panel must be removed first to access the front electrical connectors of the AM/FM antenna cable before the antenna cable removal. The installation process will end with the opposite steps used for removal.
