How to service the Knock Sensor (KS) on 2009 Ford Focus?

The first step to serve the Knock Sensor requires removal of the intake manifold. A precaution must be established to keep the Knock Sensor away from the crankcase vent oil separator throughout the service operation. The first step after bolt removal is extraction of the KS. Complete the new KS installation by using 20 Nm (177 lb-in) torque value and repeater the removal steps in reverse order.
