  A: The first step to service the coolant pump requires hoisting the vehicle in NEUTRAL position. The coolant expansion tank should be removed from its position with its 2 bolts before placing it safely aside for reinstallation at 4 Nm (35 lb-in). Unfasten the 3 bolts holding the coolant pump pulley then take off the accessory drive belt. Drain the cooling system. After the removal of the coolant pump pulley bolts and pulley you must tighten them to 20 Nm (177 lb-in) upon their final installation. The engine block must have a correctly fitted coolant pump before installing and tightening all three bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb-in). Resistance the removal method to install the new coolant pump O-ring seal that uses engine coolant as lubrication. Complete the cooling system filling process while performing a bleed operation.
