The 4 bolts and 2 pin-type retainers and front skid plate need to be removed if present while you must re-tighten all bolts to 12 Nm (106 lb-in) strength after installation. Unfasten two nuts attaching the power steering cooler while tightening them to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft) when installing. Use clamps to sever fluid flow from the power steering cooler through its two connected hoses. The installation can be finalized by performing the opposite steps of removal before adding power steering fluid to the system.
