Open the two front auxiliary heater line clamp mechanisms and disconnect the hose at each end. Start by taking out the bracket bolts of the LH rear quarter panel moulding while removing its three outer and two inner screws and lastly detach the moulding bracket together with the splash shield pin-type retainer. Workers should start by uncoupling the rear auxiliary heater line hoses after cutting their clamps before uninstalling the rear auxiliary evaporator inlet and outlet line fittings and getting rid of the O-ring seals while applying 8 Nm (71 lb-in) of torque when reattaching the fittings during assembly. Posture the fuel tank while removing its LH fuel tank strap bolt until the torque reaches 35 Nm (26 lb-ft) before securing it again. Remove the LH fuel tank strap from its position before extracting the front and rear auxiliary line bracket nuts and four auxiliary line bracket bolts and then remove the auxiliary evaporator and heater line bundle as one unit while tightening all bolts to 5 Nm (44 lb-in) when reattaching. Record the position of all auxiliary lines before disconnecting them from the brackets to achieve proper reinstallation. The process only requires detachment of the single auxiliary evaporator line from its brackets. The installation requires following the removal process in reverse order while using new gasket along with O-ring seals and adding PAG oil to the refrigerant system before filling the coolant level and performing an evacuation followed by leak testing before final charging of the system.
