    Q:
How to Service the A/C Hose from Compressor to Condenser on Ford Flex? Posted by Customer
    A:
Service of the compressor to condenser discharge line requires a refrigerant recovery process at the beginning of work. After bolt removal from the rear A/C compressor you must tighten it to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft) at its final installation. Disconnection of the A/C compressor discharge fitting becomes possible through fitting nut removal and disposal of O-ring seal and gasket seal before tightening the fitting nut to 15 Nm (133 lb-in). Disconnect the A/C pressure transducer electrical connector before removing the condenser inlet fitting nut and disconnecting the fitting which requires discarding both O-ring seal and gasket seal parts while tightening the fitting nut to 15 Nm (133 lb-in) during reinstallation. You should remove the compressor-to-condenser discharge line at this stage. The installation requires reversing all removal steps while inserting new gasket seals and O-ring seals and pouring the correct amount of clean PAG oil. The final task in the process involves evacuation and leak testing followed by refrigerant system charging.

    Q:
How to Service and Repair the A/C Hose Manifold and Tube Assembly on Lincoln MKS? Posted by Customer
    A:
The service of the Thermostatic Expansion Valve Manifold and Tube Assembly starts with a refrigerant recovery procedure. First remove the four nuts on the cross vehicle beam then take off the beam while tightening the nuts to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft) before reinstalling it. The first step is to detach the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister purge valve followed by removing the evaporator outlet line fitting nut then you should disconnect the fitting while disposing of the O-ring seal and gasket seal before tightening the fitting to 15 Nm (133 lb-in). To disconnect the fitting proceed with removing the evaporator inlet line fitting bracket bolt and the inlet line fitting nut while discarding both O-ring seal and gasket seal then tighten the fitting to 15 Nm (133 lb-in). Replace the TXV manifold and tube bracket bolt by tightening it to 9 Nm (80 lb-in) after installation. The technician should disconnect the fitting by removing its bolt then discarding the O-ring seals according to the installation torque of 8 Nm (71 lb-in). Reassemble everything while installing the TXV manifold by placing new gaskets along with O-rings in place and fill the system with appropriate clean PAG oil quantities. Evacuate then perform a leak test and complete charging the refrigerant system as the final step.
