The next step involves working on the disconnect procedures of the door latch manual actuator rod from this component. The three bolts securing the front door latch should be discarded before setting the latch aside for new installation but the new latch must be tightened exactly to 12 Nm (106 lb-in). The door harness should be disconnected from the door latch through removal of its electrical connectors. The front door latch removal begins with releasing the interior door handle actuating cable and moving the cable cover to access the conduit to release both cables. Test the exterior door handle along with the door handle actuating rod into their natural position before ending installation while the exterior door handle rod sits completely raised.
