Then remove two nuts along with the exhaust damper (when installed) before taking off the exhaust inlet pipe-to-muffler clamp and throw away the nuts. The muffler and tailpipe assembly needs to be turned counterclockwise around the rear axle to separate it from both isolators before removal. Mount the tailpipe first while connecting its isolator before positioning and attaching the muffler with its isolator.
