Set the vehicle in NEUTRAL mode then install the hoist beneath it. Start by taking out 6 pushpins from the front splash shield that have 3 each on the sides followed by the 4 fender splash shield-to-air deflector bolts positioned 2 each on both sides and torque both types of fasteners to 5 Nm (44 lb-in) when reattaching. The third step involves removing the 3 air deflector bolts before final installation will require 5 Nm (44 lb-in) torque tightening. You should detach the 2 front bumper cover center pushpins from the bumper cover as well as disconnect the fog lamp electrical connectors and the front parking aid sensor harness if equipped. The grille requires removal of its 2 bracket bolts for the radiator support section while you should apply 8 Nm torque (71 lb-in) for reinstalling the bolts. Re-install the front bumper cover by setting it into place before pressing the sides next to the bottom headlamp corner toward each other until it properly locks onto the bumper slides.
