How to service and repair the LH Axle Shaft on 2009 Mercury Milan?

To fix the axle shaft on the left which is broken, take off the tire on the front axle, use the brake and dispose of the hub nut. Unscrew the lower ball joints, unscrew the axle shaft, and unscrew the lower control arm. Drain out axle shaft in transmission, replace circlip and reassemble parts, tightening all bolts to exact torque.
