How to service and repair the front cross-member and rear crossmember on 2010 Ford Mustang?

Begin service and repair of the transmission crossmember only after placing the vehicle in NEUTRAL gear and mounting it on a lift. The transmission support must be held in place by an accepted transmission jack during the removal process. After that, uninstall the insulator bolt and transmission crossmember bolts to extract the crossmember. When installing the crossmember for V6 models place its hump side downward but V8 models require the hump facing upward. Install the transmission bolts loosely followed by the transmission support insulator bolt. One must properly neutralize the transmission support insulator by moving it through forward and backward and side-by-side motions to achieve balanced gaps with the crossmember. After neutralizing the insulator by sliding it front to back along with side to side motion you can tighten the crossmember bolts to 63 Nm then follow with the transmission support insulator bolt to 70 Nm. When reinstalling the transmission crossmember maintain the same orientation as removal to stop driveline angle modifications which would result in acceleration shuddering.
