How to Service the Front Cross-Member on 2009 Ford Mustang?

The service process of the front crossmember begins when you position the vehicle on a hoist while keeping it in the neutral position. First detach the brake line from its position on the two clips located on the front crossmember after which remove the A/C line bracket nut followed by detaching the bracket from the front crossmember while applying 7 Nm (62 lb-in) torque during reinstallation. Free the power steering line locator from the crossmember after which securely rest the radiator with a suitable tool. There are four front stabilizer bar bracket nuts needing removal but the technician must tighten them to 70 Nm (52 lb-ft) before installation. Two technicians must perform this step by removing the four front crossmember nuts while they reassemble this component by torquing the nuts to 115 Nm (85 lb-ft). To finish the installation you need to execute the reverse operations of your previous steps.
