In order to fit brake shoes, loosen the wheel nuts, lift the car, and take off the wheel. Unscrew the brake shoes, remove the drum, and remove the parking brake cable. Take springs and shoes off. Installation requires new shoes, lubricant, and rejoining parts, and this requires that they are properly adjusted and connected.
