How to Remove and Service an Air Duct on Ford Crown Victoria?

The service of the air recirculating duct begins with instrument panel removal and subsequent plenum chamber removal. First detach the RH front wheel and tire. Then you must remove the fender apron bolts for repositioning. After loosening the cowl top cover using its bolt, screws and pin-type retainer you can gain access to the duct nut to remove it. Remove the first nut before taking out the nut that requires supporting the harness cover. Proceed to remove another nut and bolt. The air recirculating duct removal process starts with disconnecting the wiring harness and disengaging the connectors. To install the component follow the steps of uninstallation in reverse order.
