Start by easing the fuel pressure followed by separation of the upper intake manifold. Remove the snap ring from the fuel pressure regulator after you detach its vacuum hose and then extract the fuel pressure regulator. The O-rings and associated seal of the fuel pressure regulator must be thrown away. The installation requires following the removal steps in reverse order using new O-rings which have special fuel-resistant qualities because standard O-rings tend to produce leaks. The fuel injector pockets should receive clean engine oil either as XO-10W30-QSP or DSP or an equivalent product that fulfills Ford WSS-M2C153-G specification before component installation.
