How to Service the Idle Control Valve on Ford Crown Victoria?

Disconnection of the ground cable from the battery stands as the first step for servicing the Idle Control Valve. The first step requires engine appearance cover removal while disconnecting the electrical connector of the Idle Control (IC) valve. First unplug the IC valve hose then extract both the IC valve and hose. The installation procedure should be performed in reverse order to removal steps.
