How to Service the PCV Valve on Ford Crown Victoria?

The first step to service the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve demands pressing the tab found on the PCV tube while separating the PCV electrical connector. Replacing the PCV valve becomes necessary because shearing the plastic retaining ears will occur when you remove the valve. During removal of the PCV valve, turn it in a rotating motion before following the installation process in reverse.
