How to service and repair the Wiper Linkage on Ford Crown Victoria?

The following procedure is required to service and repair the wiper motor linkage: Remove the cowl grille. Then set the evaporative emission canister purge valve aside and take the nuts off it. Next, slide the valve out of the way and then set the mounting arm and pivot shaft aside. Unscrew the mounting arm and pivot shaft bolts, unplug the electrical connector and disconnect the windshield washer hose. Reverse the removal procedure to complete installation.
