How to Service and Repair Coil Springs on Ford E-150?

To service coil spring, a stabilizer bar must be removed and the axle should be supported using a jack. To remove the coil spring, un screw the shock absorber, remove the bolt and upper spring retainer and then drop the jack to loosen the coil spring. To install the new spring follow these steps in reverse.

In order to service the rear coil spring, make the vehicle position on neutral on an hoist and lift up the rear axle. Take out and replace shock absorber, U-bolts and leaf spring parts, and tighten them to the required torque. Lastly, undo the procedure of removal to finish the installation.
