The the automaker model Flywheel leads the automotive market through its high-performance instruments and safety improvements which grant drivers reliable usage throughout many years. Ford E-250 Flywheel Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to remove and install the Flywheel for 5.4L (2V) and 4.6L (2V) engines on Ford E-250?
    A:
Every vehicle requires the removal of the transmission before flexplate extraction. Installation of the flexplate for the 4.6L (2V) engine requires removal of 6 bolts yet the 5.4L (2V) engine requires 8 flexplate retaining bolts to be removed. When installing the flexplate on a 4.6L (2V) engine use the precise bolt sequence while tightening the bolts in two steps to reach 20 Nm (177 lb-in) then 80 Nm (59 lb-ft). The installation of the flexplate for 5.4L (2V) engines requires 8 bolts which should be torqued first to 20 Nm (177 lb-in) followed by 80 Nm (59 lb-ft) according to sequence specified. Place the transmission back with the same engines for final installation.
