How to Properly Install an Automatic Transmission Filter in a Torqshift System on Ford E-250?

The repair and service process for the Torqshift automatic transaxle/transmission transmission fluid in-line filter begins with installing a new filter whenever a transmission has been overhauled with an original transmission fluid in-line filter. The transmission fluid in-line filter can only be installed when it was not part of the original vehicle equipment. New transmissions along with Ford approved remanufactured transmissions require the installation of the filter during replacement.
